Prayer Walk
1 Thessalonians 5:17
pray continually,
Psalms 33:2
Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Psalms 57:7
My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
Psalms 92:1
It is good to praise the Lord and Make music to your name, O Most High,
” The correct concept is to think of prayer as the breath in our lungs and the blood from our hearts. Our blood flows and our breathing continues “without ceasing”; we are not even conscious of it, but it never stops. And we are not always conscious of Jesus keeping us in perfect oneness with God, but if we are obeying Him, He always is. Prayer is not an exercise, it is the life of the saint. Beware of anything that stops the offering up of prayer. “Pray without ceasing”- maintain the childlike habit of offering up prayer in your heart to God all the time.”

MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST (Updated Edition)
This morning’s devotion from Oswald Chambers, like so many of his devotions, always seems to “touch and impact me right where I am,” in that moment of life. Earlier this week I had to opportunity to go on a Prayer Walk with one of my prayer warrior friends. It was a beautiful day with sunshine and blue skies. We drove to a local nature park to walk along the trails and pray. God speaks all of the time, every day. But sometimes, we just need to get away. We need to take a walk into nature and be surrounded by His beauty to refocus and renew our soul.
As we walked along the trails, we talked with God. We brought all of our trials, failures, needs of ourselves and of our friends to Him. We observed His beauty in the trees, flowers, creek waters that flowed. From the beams of sunshine piercing through the forest, we saw the Light of His love shining down. He illumined our path as we walked. We felt deep love and peace.
Then, suddenly, without warning as we prayed came the attacks. Mosquitos! It was like a fierce army attack! Relentless! We continued to press on and pray; focusing on God. We prayed. We walked. We swatted mosquitos.
As our walk ended, I was reminded of how our natural walk is like our spiritual walk. We have a fierce enemy, Satan, who is relentless in his attacks. He comes to interfere in our lives as we talk and grow closer to God. He throws fiery darts and bites at us like the mosquitos. But, we must stay focused. God has given us His armor.
Ephesians 6:13-17
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Be Faithful
The enemy is real; throws daggers and darts all day.
He wants to cause fear and doubt; from Jesus draw our attention away.
He whispers lies and deceives.
He is constantly badgering; trying to get us not to believe.
But God, in His wisdom, gave us strong armor.
For He knew the battle would be fierce and we might be distracted by enemy clamor.
God gave instructions “Stand firm. Be bold and courageous. Pray continually. Press on.”
He gives us strength, joy; a new heart song.
The belt of truth guards our waist.
While we put the breastplate of righteousness in place.
We pick up the shield of faith.
Our feet have the gospel of peace to run with haste.
We put on the helmet of salvation; protecting our mind.
So the enemy cannot deceive and blind.
At last, we take up the sword.
This is our powerful weapon; God’s Holy Word.
We are equipped for battle; God supplied everything that we need.
We must move forward; praying, every word from Him heed.
God has won the victory; Satan is a defeated foe.
We must move forward; praying as we go.
Some days the attacks seem endless and are fierce; drain our strength.
We must focus on Jesus, remember God loves us; He will keep us; go to any length.
Dear brothers and sisters: Press on; be assured God hears and is answering your prayers.
His desire is for our best; He loves us immensely, deeply cares.
We go out victorious; the battle has been won!
JESUS-our victor is King; the Chosen One!
We celebrate and rejoice.
As we move forward listening, trusting, obeying, surrendering to His voice,
